Paul Ince’s Blackburn Rovers established their place as this season’s Right Result regulars with their sixth and seventh incidents of the new campaign in Saturday’s draw with Middlesbrough.
Visiting forward Tuncay will be rueing his luck as his spectacular goal first-half was wrongly disallowed for offside.
Shortly afterwards, the whistle of fortune blew (or didn’t, as the case may be) in Boro’s favour when defender Andrew Taylor wasn’t penalised when he punched clear a Rovers cross in his own area.
THE RIGHT RESULT = Blackburn 2-2 Middlesbrough
With almost a quarter of the season gone, the Right Result table is now beginning to take interesting shape, much to the pleasure of followers of one North London team…. if not the other.
According to the Right Result table, Arsenal should be equal on points with Liverpool at the top of the table and ahead on goal difference with Chelsea falling to 4th place. Newcastle too should be much farther up the table (11th) than their current position suggests (19th), although in Tottenham’s case the table does not lie – they are bottom of the pile.
