According to reports in Media outlet Inside Spanish Football, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger recently contacted the agent of Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos over a possible transfer move. The report cites AS’s Manolete on La Goleada saying that Real Madrid have a list of transfer plans lined out.
Malonte revealed, “Wenger has called René Ramos, the agent and brother of Sergio Ramos.” The Gunners are desperate to buy a defender in January and the North London club are believed to be taking advantage of the supposed breakdown in contract extension talks between Ramos and the Galacticos.
Wenger was disappointed to see his side giving away the lead against ten men in the thrilling 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Anfield saying that the back four needs organisatin, “They should be talking, yes. Maybe they do talk but it doesn’t look like that when you look at the pictures. Of course it’s important to have someone organising. You want somebody to take the leadership there.”
A move for Ramos really remains far-fetched for Arsenal. Why would the Spanish defender make a move away from his homeland at this stage in his career when he is competing for the best titles available in Europe. However, January might throw some interesting decisions.
