Manchester United Transfer

Wayne Rooney

Chelsea are ready to switch their focus to signing Wayne Rooney from Manchester United. The blues’ planned deal for Edinson Cavani could fall through due to Napoli’s incredibly high transfer fee demand.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has revealed he is looking to make one or two more signings before the start of the season. Rodgers has already made some superb signings in the form of Iago Aspas, Luis Alberto and Simon Mignolet.

Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier has confirmed his current club have rejected an offer from Arsenal. Grenier has been linked with the Gunners for several weeks and told Le Parisien he’s still not sure where he’ll be playing next season.

New Norwich City striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel has urged the club’s fans not to judge him on his goals alone. He’s insisted that he is a more complete player than a forward who simply poaches goals at every opportunity.

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Gareth Barry from Manchester City. It’s a bizarre link considering they have the resources to go after Everton’s Marouane Fellaini, a younger and more long term investment.

AC Milan have made it clear that Stephan El Shaarawy will not be leaving the club this summer. Chelsea and Manchester City were thought to be interested in the forward but Milan have confirmed he won’t be going anywhere.

AZ Alkmaar have rejected an opening bid from Sunderland for Jozy Altidore. Paolo Di Canio seems keen on adding the American to the attacking ranks at the club and is expected to go back to the Dutch side with an improved offer.
