We are into the Match Day 10 of the Barclays Premier League. And as usual it promises to be a cracker. We have some fascinating games coming up and what better way to spend the silly time than to do something silly of course. Let us do a quick prediction of the matches this week.
Newcastle vs Chelsea
After a heart breaking defeat at the hands of Sunderland, followed by exit from the Capital One Cup, last thing Alan Pardew needed was to face Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea who are on a rampage at the moment. The confidence is sky high at the moment for the Blues after beating Man City and Arsenal and should comfortably earn full three points against the Magpies.
Prediction: 1-3
Fulham vs Manchester United
The Red Devils have earned three consecutive victories now in three different competitions and are facing a struggling Martin Jol’s side. United will welcome back Robin van Persie to the side and with full attacking arsenal, expect a comfortable rout at Craven cottage.
Prediction: 0-3
Manchester City vs Norwich
City suffered a heart breaking 2-1 defeat against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in their last league game and will be looking to bounce back strongly at home where they have a 100% winning record in the league. Against 18th placed Norwich, City should enjoy a comfortable afternoon.
Prediction: 4-0
Arsenal vs Liverpool
Hard call. Arsenal are leading the league and should enjoy a home advantage. Liverpool haven’t lost away from home and are just 2 points behind their rivals. If Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey are delivering for the Gunners, Liverpool have their own weapon in Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge. It should be a fascinating contest and I’m going with a draw.
Prediction: 1-1
Everton vs Tottenham
Everton haven’t lost at home this season and Spurs’ record away to Goodison Park isn’t spectacular either. Both the teams are just separated by one point only, so hardly anything to chose between.
Prediction: 1-1
Other fixtures:
Hull 1-2 Sunderland
Stoke 1-1 Southampton
West Brom 2-1 Crystal Palace
West Ham 0-1 Aston Villa
Cardiff 1-2 Swansea
