Arsenal host Middlesbrough on Sunday afternoon at the Emirates as Arsene Wenger’s men will look to seal a quarter final final berth in the FA Cup. The Gunners are expected to win the game without much hiccup and join Liverpool in the last eight in England’s oldest cup competition.
Wenger though will be without Chilean Alexis Sanchez who is expected to miss the game with a knee injury. The London side will have to rotate their squad given they face two crunch games in the coming week, against Monaco in the Champions League and Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
Aitor Karanka’s Middlesbrough beat Manchester City in the last round and will be looking to muster yet another upset way from home. Arsenal’s new signing Gabriel Paulista could start while Wojciech Szczesny could get a game over David Ospina in goal. Aaron Ramsey though misses out with injury while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Debuchy and Abou Diaby all remain sidelined.
Here is the possible Arsenal lineup vs Middlesbrough:
Predictions: The FA Cup remains Arsenal best chance to win any sort of silverware this season and they will be desperate to defend their crown. Middlesbrough have the ability to snatch an upset but Arsenal should win this by 2-0.
