Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is set for a long layoff after he underwent an ankle surgery on Thursday.
The Gunners star was enjoying a great run for both club and country in recent times, only before Manchester United defender Paddy McNair’s tackle at the Emirates on Saturday.
Wilshere confirmed on Instagram and he said, ” Ankle needed surgery in the end, went well thanks to the main man James Calder! Work hard for what you want because it won’t come to you without a fight.”
“You have to be strong and courageous and know that you can do anything you put your mind to. If somebody puts you down or criticizes you, just keep on believing in yourself and turn it into something positive.”
Wilshere will be out of action for approximately three months and he now joins Mikel Arteta, Yaya Sanogo, Mesut Ozil, Mathieu Debuchy, Danny Welbeck and Wojciech Szczesny as the list of players injured at the Emirates.
