Brazilian striker Pato has been spotted at Stamford Bridge fuelling rumours that the Corinthians striker could join Chelsea in January.
Pato has been linked with moves to Tottenham and Liverpool as well.
The Brazilian striker attended Chelsea’s Champions league game against Porto last night.
Earlier this season, the Brazilian was offered to Chelsea and it was reported that the Blues could sanction a cut price deal for the former AC Milan man to bolster their attacking options.
The likes of Costa and Falcao have struggled to find the back of the net this season and Pato could be a handy alternative.
The Brazilian can add some much needed pace and creativity to Chelsea’s attack as well.
Pato is a hardworking and versatile forward who can lead the line as well as operate as a wide forward.
It will be interesting to see if Chelsea are really interested in the player and submit a formal offer in January. It has been reported time and again that Pato is keen on a move back to Europe and the Brazilian would relish the chance to join a Premier League side.
Furthermore, Corinthians are willing to get rid of Pato and a January transfer is likely. Whether or not he joins Chelsea, remains to be seen.
The player’s agent has also confirmed earlier that Pato is likely to move in January and that there are several clubs vying for his signature.
Pato has been in good form since joining Sao Paulo on loan and scored 26 goals last season. If the deal goes through, Pato certainly has the talent to help Chelsea get their league campaign back on track.
