Manchester United were all set to sign Pedro Rodriguez from Barcelona last summer, until Chelsea moved in quickly to hijack a deal.
Pedro won three Champions League trophies and five La Liga titles during his time at Barcelona, but he has failed to impress at his new club.
At that time, United board faced strong criticism from the fans for missing out on Pedro, but having seen him struggle badly for Chelsea, it seems that United were right in their decision to not enter into a bidding war for the Spaniard.
The 28-year-old has managed two goals only in 18 games for Chelsea. He has been recently linked with a move to his old club Barcelona, but Luis Enrique has blocked a proposal for Pedro to return to the Catalan club.
Chelsea players were given few days off after their 1-0 victory over Arsenal on Sunday. Pedro has returned to Barcelona, and he made sure to make some time for old friends at the Camp Nou.
Barcelona defender Jordi Alba used his Instagram account to show off a picture of the pair sitting in a couch, and Pedro was all smiles to be back in his city.
