Reports from late night in Italian media outlet TMW would come as a body blow to all of Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal who are pursuing Palermo striker Paulo Dybala in the upcoming summer transfer window. Dybala who is rated at €40m by Palermo is now interested to stay in Italy.
The report states that the striker’s agent has told outspoken club president Maurizio Zamparini that his client has a preference to stay in Italy in the summer rather than moving abroad.
Zamparini had earlier announced that he will be selling the highly sought after youngster to the highest bidder in the coming summer transfer window. He had also in fact mentioned that the Dybala’s transfer price is out of reach for fellow Italian clubs.
The recent developments will thus come as a body blow for all the Premier League giants who are keen to land the Argentine. Dybala has been in superb form this season having scored 12 times and grabbed 7 assists in 26 appearances this term.
A couple of days ago too, we had reported that Zamparini was quoted saying about Dybala’s tranfer, “I’m moving ahead with negotiations.”
The report also states that Juventus are now in pole position to sign the 21 year while Napoli and Roma are also interested. However, it will be interesting if either of the Italian clubs really pay €40m for the player.
