Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has announced that he will be selling highly sought after striker Paulo Dybala to the highest bidder in the coming summer transfer window.
The 21 year old is one of the hottest young prospects in European football and has been linked with Premier League giants Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United. It is believed that Paris St Germain and Juventus are also interested to sign the high flying Argentine.
Sky Sports have quoted Zamparini saying (actual interview to Italian media outlet Tuttosport), “I will sell him, I am almost certain of this . Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta told me that they are very interested in the player. They (Juve) are ready to negotiate.”
“I have warned Marotta already that I’ve had so many offers for Dybala from half of the teams in Europe. Chelsea, PSG and other English and Spanish clubs.”
The outspoken Zamparini has claimed that Dybala’s entourage are misguiding him in such a delicate age. “This is the fault of those that surround him. They have made him lose all sense of reality. I had treated him like a son having spent €12m to acquire him. I will not speak to Dybala again. I will appoint a company to negotiate Dybala’s sale.”
Dybala who joined Palermo in 2012 from home club Instituto have been in stunning form this season having scored 11 goals and grabbing 6 assists in 21 appearances this season. Italian outlet TMW have also claimed that Palermo have always been a selling club and they will part with Dybala in the summer. The Italian club have a history of selling he biggest of names, some of them being Lua Toni, Edinson Cavani and Javier Pastore.
The Mirror also have published a report that Arsenal and United had sent scouts to watch Dybala last weekend. However, the player won’t come cheap as Mirror cite a £25m move for the youngster.
