Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky has admitted that Chelsea star goalkeeper Petr Cech could make a switch to the Emirates in the summer transfer window.
After an impressive performance for the west London club over the years, the 33-year-old has been the second choice keeper since Thibaut Courtois returned to Stamford Bridge after completing his loan spell at Atletico Madrid last summer.
The Czech Republican stopper has seen his first team appearances limited under Jose Mourinho. Since then, he has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, while their league rivals Manchester United are also in the race to sign Cech.
Rosicky, who also plays for Czech Republic has dropped a massive hint that his compatriot could snub Louis van Gaal’s side to join the Gunners.
“I know some things from both sides but I will not interfere. It could even turn against me. Both sides know what they are doing. Arsenal are a top team in the world. Players want to be transferred there, that is nothing new. It is a fantastic club,” Rosicky told Czech newspaper Daily Sport.
United have David De Gea as their first choice keeper at Old Trafford. The Spain international also has one year left on his contract and has already turned down the chance to sign a new deal.
The Red Devils star has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid and De Gea is also interested in making a move back to Spain. Cech was lined up as a potential replacement at United.
However, with Rosicky’s latest comments it looks like Chelsea star will stay in London by making a switch to Arsenal. Cech has one year left on his contract and is likely to leave this summer.
