New Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal has made it clear to Welbeck that his services are not required at Old Trafford. He is likely to leave the 20-time English champions and might follow Javier Hernandez heading for summer exit.
The Mexican international completed his season-long loan switch to Real Madrid on Monday. However, one thing is not confirmed if Welbeck wants to join the Gunners on a lon move or a permanent transfer.
Arsene Wenger was left with Yaya Sanogo as the only recognised striker in the squad after France international Olivier Giroud picked up an injury during Arsenal’s 2-2 draw against Everton.
