Manchester United’s 0-0 draw away to Arsenal has left their champions league ambitions hanging by a thread, with Liverpool’s last grasp win at Fulham taking them 12 points clear of the champions in fourth place.
In a match of few clear-cut chances, eternal rivals United and Arsenal played out an uninspired draw in London, with Robin van Persie’s second half header the best chance of the match.

The Dutchman’s goalbound header from a peach of a cross from Wayne Rooney was clawed onto the bar brilliantly by a desperate Szczęsny. Santi Cazorla could have won it late on for Arsenal, but David De Gea was equal to the Spaniard on more than one occasion.
