The German star spent the second half of the season on loan at Italian side Inter Milan and returned to Arsenal but it is believed that he will be told to leave the London club. Podolski left Arsenal mid-season in January thanks to lack of game time but he struggled too at Inter which meant that the San Siro side could not turn his loan move into a permanent one.
Podolski featured in 24 overall appearances this season scoring only one goal. With a plethora of attacking options at his disposal, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger now wants to get rid of the 29 year old who failed to impress at the Emirates side ever since his his move from German side Cologne in the summer of 2012.
The Daily Star has quoted reports from the Times claiming that Podolski has a scheduled medical with Galatasaray next week. The report states that the Turkish side are prepared to pay £9m to Arsenal for Podolski’s services.
