First and foremost: Merry X-mas to everyone.
Arsenal are expected to be busy in the January transfer window. They might not buy too many players, but several players are expected to depart, may be on loan or permanently.
Matt Hughes of The Times claimed last month that Arsene Wenger feels he has too many strikers at disposal and would be ready to sanction the departures of few of them. Yaya Sanogo, Joel Campbell and Lukas Podolski are the likely candidates who could leave the London giants in the January transfer window.
Couple of days back Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport claimed that Serie A giants Inter Milan are in advanced negotiations to sign the German forward and are keen to wrap up the deal at the earliest.
Podolski has been on the fringes at Arsenal all season and there have been several talks of an exit in the January transfer window. The deal with Inter though, will see the 29 year-old join the Nerrazzuri on a free loan till the end of the season. Thereafter, the Italians have the option to sign him on a permanent deal for a fee in the region of 8m Euro.
Now TMW reports that Podolski has already a personal deal with Inter, and it is now up to the Nerazzurri to find agreement with the Gunners. Usually when a player agrees personal terms with any club, in most cases, the deal generally goes through, so, expect Podolski to leave Arsenal in January, albeit on loan.
