Mario Mandzukic is in-demand. Despite registering 17 goals in this season’s Bundesliga, a move away from Bayern Munich is looking increasingly feasible.

Pep Guardiola is reportedly dissatisfied with the Bundesliga’s leading goalscorer, joint top with Lewandowski, and with the arrival of Borussia Dortmund’s Polish striker imminent, Mandzukic is expected to depart the Allianz Arena this summer, possibly to Real Madrid.

Spanish media outlet Diario Gol recently reported that FIFA agent, François Gallardo has claimed that the Croatia international had already agreed a summer move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Gallardo hinted at a potential transfer in September, informing Spanish sports television programme Punto Pelota of Real’s nascent interest in Mandzukic.

“The top player that Real have on their list for next season, independent of what happens in December, is a Bayern player,” Gallardo said. “It is Mandzukic.”

Yet, Gallardo is infamous for his propensity to fashion incorrect transfer speculation, even claiming in the past that Barcelona star Lionel Messi was to join Manchester City.

John Cvjetkovic, Mandzukic’s agent, opted to remain tight-lipped on his client’s immediate future during an interview.

“Plenty of talk is circulating in the media, but at the moment I cannot comment on it. It’s the beginning of March and the summer market it is still far away.”

The Daily Mail claimed four days ago that Arsenal are in pole position to land the striker, while Croatian sports newspaper Sportske Novosti claims that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has also set his sight on the 27-year-old.

The newspaper additionally claim that Wolfsburg, Mandzukic’s former club, are also considering pursuing the Bayern attacker.

Die Wölfe chiefs are monitoring Mandzukic’s uncertain situation at Bayern, but a successful move for the 27 year-old is highly unlikely, given the financial muscle of their rivals.

Despite the saga unravelling regarding his future, Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is confident of Mandzukic’s stay.

“I have confidence he will stay,” he said to Munchner Murkur, “Mandzukic has a contract until 2016, but I have told him he could extend it here.”

To add further fuel to the fire, transfer guru Gianluca di Marzio claimed recently the agent of Mandzukic was in London holding talks with Chelsea and Arsenal.
