Sebastian Giovinco has cut a frustrated figure at Juventus this season. The 27 year old has hardly featured under new manager Massimiliano Allegri, making just 8 appearances, out of which 6 were from the bench. According to reports from the trusted and reliable Gianluca Di Marzio website, the player has expressed a desire to get more game time on the pitch, else he would have to reconsider his future at the club.
Giovinco though would remain at the Old Lady according to his agent but could make a move in the summer with Arsenal being a possible destination. Speaking to Sky Sports, his agent Andrea D’Amico said, “Giovinco to Arsenal? Only Juventus can negotiate now, but towards the end of his contract, we’ll see. He himself said he wanted to evaluate projects at the end of the season.”
This is not the first time that the Gunners have been linked with the Italian. We had earlier reported in the summer that Giovinco could leave Turin to pursue his career elsewhere.
When asked if a possible contract extension with Juventus is on the cards, D’Amico said, “With Juventus not we met many times, from our side there has always been open. But Giovinco is 27, is in the prime of his career and needs to play more often. If things continue like this, we will have to look at offers. The continuity is crucial in this business, it gives confidence and mental motivation to the player.”
