Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has sensationally claimed that he is open to managing Arsenal football club, when he decides to leave Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho claimed that he will continue to manage in London when he leaves Chelsea. Although there are other sides in London including the likes of Spurs, QPR, West Ham, Fulham, Mourinho stated that he would only manage a top club, preferably one in the Champions league.
“Let me put it like this: one day I will leave Chelsea and when I do I will continue living in London.
“There are a number of other opportunities for a manager in London – Fulham, QPR, West Ham, Spurs, the England national team… and Arsenal.”
Mourinho’s claims will come as a shock to Arsenal and Chelsea fans, who are aware of his hostility towards Arsene Wenger and the Gunners.
Mourinho is having a tough time at Chelsea and has been embroiled in the a number of controversies including his spat with Eva Carneiro, swearing at Roberto Martinez and his cold war with Diego Costa.
Many are willing to bet that the Portuguese is in his final season at Stamford bridge, unless things change drastically.
It will be interesting to see if Mourinho is indeed interested in the Arsenal job. Although Wenger is still expected to be around for a few years, it is not long before he calls it day.
Arsenal fans, what do you think of Jose Mourinho as your manager?
