Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is set for a coaching role at the club from this summer.
The French striker has agreed to take up the position of the Arsenal U18s assistant manager. Thierry Henry earned his UEFA A coaching licence last month under the guidance of the Welsh FA and will take up a full-time role as a coach now.
The Arsenal fan favourite has worked with the Arsenal youth players before.
Recently Henry attracted a lot of criticism regarding how his coaching licence was obtained. Usually, one has to complete 180 hours of study over the course of a year, but Henry’s case was fast tracked because of his high profile.
Meanwhile, the highly talented Chelsea midfielder Kyle Scott has rocked the club with a transfer request.
Scott joined Chelsea from Southampton a few years ago and has been a key member of the side that lifted the UEFA Youth League for the last two seasons.
The 18-year-old midfielder recently signed a new contract until 2019 but according to ESPN, the player wants out.
The report also states that there are a number of top European clubs showing interest in the young midfielder.
The Chelsea midfielder has already represented England at U16 level, the Republic of Ireland at the U17s level and the United States at the U18s level.
