Barcelona and Argentina center back Gabriel Milito will finally join the rest of the Barca squad after being sidelined for an astonishing 580 days with an injury. Back in the 2007/2008 Champions League semi-final against Manchester United, Milito suffered a cruciate ligament injury to his right knee.
Milito participated in training back on November 18th and he will possibly see some playing time when Barca face Xerez on Wednesday; a rare mid-week game.
Since the 29 year old got injured, Yaya Toure and Gerard Pique have been filling in for him and they have been doing an excellent job. Especially Pique, because of the way he complements his central defence partner and captain Carlos Puyol.
