Arsenal are expected to remain busy in the January transfer window, with Arsene Wenger desperate to bolster the depleted midfield areas.
Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey and Mikel Arteta, all have suffered injuries at some of time this season, in fact, they are still out injured, and Wenger to add more bodies in that area, either on a permanent or a temporary move.
Arsenal are likely to sell some of the fringe players from the squad, and the money could be used to sign couple of players, on top of the transfer budget given to the Frenchman.
While English tabloids have linked Arsenal with a move for Edinson Cavani but such rumours have hardly any weight, as basic common sense would tell you that is never going to happen in January.
French newspaper L’Equipe has published an article today where they claim Arsenal are seriously targeting Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko, who has a contract till 2019 and has a transfer value of €20m.
Sissoko has pace, technique and physical qualities to play for any top club and certainly he would cherish a move to the Emirates, should an offer arrive. He could be an important signing for the club in January, but whether Arsenal at all make a move for him now remains to be seen.
