Premier League is back later today and the English clubs will be looking to finish their season strongly after their European exploits during the midweek.

The title race heats up with Spurs hosting Manchester United and Leicester City taking on the relegation hopefuls Sunderland.

The likes of Arsenal and Manchester City will be fighting to secure their status as a Champions League club for next season.

Liverpool and Chelsea have had a poor season and are very little to play for right now. Both teams will look to finish as high as possible and then lay the foundations for a successful season next year.

Anyway, without further delay let’s look into the ten games from the Premier League this weekend and assess how it could pan out of for the title hopefuls, top four aspirants and the teams hoping to stay in the Premier League next season.

West Ham vs Arsenal 

Both teams will be fighting it out for a top-four finish in the London derby today.

West Ham have had an outstanding season and could well end up in top four come the end of the season. A win is vital for both sides today.

Arsenal will look to avenge the Emirates defeat and West Ham will want to continue their good performances against the top teams this season.

Prediction: 2-2.

Aston Villa vs Bournemouth

Bournemouth are fighting for survival and Eddie Howe’s side are nearly there.

The Cherries will look to secure their status as a Premier League club for next season with a win today and Villa will look to salvage some pride before they go down eventually.

Prediction: 1-2.

Crystal Palace vs Norwich

Pardew’s men are in a slump right now and another defeat could drag them into the relegation dogfight.

For Norwich, this is a must win game. The Canaries will get closer to safety if they win here.

After an impressive performance against Newcastle, Alex Neil’s side will look to take advantage of the misfiring Eagles.

Prediction: 2-1.

Southampton vs Newcastle

Koeman will want to finish as high as possible this season and for Newcastle, it is a do-or-die situation.

Rafa Benitez cannot afford another defeat and this will be a fierce contest between two very competitive sides.

Prediction: 1-1.

Swansea vs Chelsea

The Swans have made a tremendous recovery since the sacking of Garry Monk and will look to finish as high as possible.

Chelsea are unbeaten in 15 matches under Hiddink and the Blues will look to add to that.

Prediction: 1-3.

Pato vs Aston Villa

Watford vs Everton

Watford and Everton will fight it out for a respectable midtable finish.

Both teams have been shaky at the back and it has cost them crucial points along the course of the season.

Both sides have some quality attacking threat and it should be an exciting game.

Prediction: 2-2.

Man City vs West Brom

West Brom will look to dent City’s Champions league hopes for next season with an upset win here.

Pellegrini’s side are only just ahead of United in the standings and could drop out of top four if they drop points this week.

Prediction: 2-0.

Sunderland vs Leicester

Sunderland will do their best to dent Leicester’s title hopes. The Black Cats need a few wins under their belt to ensure survival.

Meanwhile, Leicester will want to take advantage of Spurs’ tough fixture this week and increase the lead at the top of the table.

Prediction: 0-1.

Liverpool vs Stoke

Liverpool take on Stoke City in the Premier League this weekend and the Reds will look to rest most of their key players for the midweek tie against Dortmund.

Several key players are injured/suspended and Klopp will field a second string side. Mark Hughes will look to avenge their two defeats against Liverpool this season.

Prediction: 1-1.

Tottenham vs Manchester United

This is a huge game in the context of the title race.

If Spurs fail to win, their title dreams are more or less over and United drop points, they will fall behind City in the top four race.

Both teams have a lot to play for and it should be a cracking contest.

Prediction: 1-1.
