Premier League is back. After a brief dalliance with Cup-romances in the mid-week, let’s get soaked in the hustle-bustle yet narcotic attraction of this league. The Round six of this mesmerizing league promises to be a cracker, as always, with the London Derby and Arsenal’s visit to Swansea being the pick of the games.
Here are five things to look forward to this weekend.
Who will win the London Derby?
Tottenham welcome Chelsea at the White Hart Lane this Saturday Lunch time kick-off. Spurs are top of the table along with Arsenal, having won four out of their five league games. Chelsea on the other hand have had a stuttering start, yet are occupying the third position in the table.
The build-up to the game has largely been occupied by two manages who from friends have strangely become foes. Villas-Boas publicly claimed that he doesn’t keep any contact with Mourinho, while the Portuguese returned with sharp riposte that he doesn’t care what Spurs boss has to say. Ground is set for a fierce battle – now up to the players to live up to the hype.
Time for Jovetic to step up in place of Aguero
Sergio Aguero, the hero of Manchester Derby will miss the trip to Villa Park, after he suffered a knock in the last match.
However, Manuel Pellegrini has a more-than-handy options in place, should he choose to use. Stevan Jovetic. The Montenegro international who scored in the mid week can easily drop in the hole behind Alvaro Negredo, and restore the quality of the side without hampering the balance.
Will Hernandez be dropped to the bench?
Robin van Persie is fit again and the Dutchman is expected to start. In that case, Javier Hernandez, who scored in the last match against Liverpool, will have to warm the bench.
But, should David Moyes encourage such ideas? The Scot has said that he wants response from his team after their 4-1 humiliating defeat against City. He will looking to attack with full force at home, and the obvious choice is to start with Van Persie upfront.
But, if he does that it might give a wrong signal to Hernandez who has done nothing wrong to deserve the bench. Of course, for taking such bold decisions, you need balls. Let’s see, whether Moyes has them or not.

A lot has been written on Swansea elsewhere and here as well. Their adherence to playing passing, attractive, eye catching football is something to cherish about. The Wales club have showed the entire world that proper management can do wonders to any team. Following the mantra laid down by Roberto Martinez and Brendan Rodgers, the side has been perfectly nourished by Micahel Laudrup. Simply, they are really an asset to the Premier League.
And Arsenal are just irrevocably Arsenal.
Liverpool need to bounce back
Brendan Rodgers certainly has every right to point out the positives of his side, despite suffering 1-0 defeat to arch-rivals Man Utd at Old Trafford. The Reds have so far been brilliant but in the last few weeks, the progress curve has dropped.
Against a manager-less Sunderland side, this is the perfect opportunity for Liverpool to regain the confidence again and get back to winning ways.
