FIFA16

FIFA 16 will be released on September 22 and the one of the best features of the game is identify young talents and nurture them, the same way it is done in realtime.

Every year, FIFA will update their database as and when the young talents break into the scene or on the verge of making it big in the future. We look at few of these players and see who makes it to our teams of FIFA 16 wonderkids.

Criteria for selection:

  • Players must be 21 or younger
  • Only potential OVR will be considered
  • Formation: 4-2-3-1

Let’s get started.

Goalkeeper:

20-year-old Kepa Arrizabalaga of Real Valladolid, 18-year-old Bartłomiej Drągowski of Polish club Jagiellonia Białystok and 19-year-old André Campos Moreira are the three goalkeepers who have OVR of 74, 71 and 70 respectively.

At the age of 18,  Drągowski has just one rating behind Arrizabalaga and one ahead of the Portuguese goalkeeper.

Our pick: Bartłomiej Drągowski

Right-Back:

21-year-old AS Monaco’s Fábio Henrique Tavares (78) and Arsenal’s 20-year-old Héctor Bellerín are the two choices. The latter has impressed after giving an opportunity to shine by Arsene Wenger.

The French manager was forced to deploy the defender after injuries to first choice right back Mathieu Debuchy and Calum Chambers’ poor form. Bellerin’s pace and defensive abilities has seen him edge Monaco defender.

Our pick: Héctor Bellerín

Centre-Backs:

Kurt Zouma (77) could be a regular for Chelsea this season after John Terry was substituted for the first time for his side’s clash against Manchester City. The French international is set to be a long-term replacement for the Blues legend.

Aymeric Laporte (83), Daniele Rugani (78), PSG’s Marcos   Aoas Corrêa (81), Everton star John Stones (77) and AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli (75). This list includes several big name players and it is going to be a touch task in selecting these two centre-backs.

Our pick: Aymeric Laporte and Kurt Zouma

Left-Back:

Manchester United’s Luke Shaw has been one of the best left-back in the Premier League with OVR of 77. Chelsea’s latest acquisition Abdul Rahman Baba is also one of the brightest prospects in Europe and his OVR is 78. Other contender is Valencia defender José Luís Gayà Peña (80).

Our pick: Luke Shaw

CDM:

Valencia midfielder Danilo Barbosa da Silva (78) and FC Porto’s Rúben Diogo da Silva Neves (74) are the first two choices. From France’s second divison, Jeando Fuchs, who plays for FC Sochaux has OVR of 72, while 16-year-old COlombian Jesús Marimón has OVR of 76.

Our pick: Danilo Barbosa da Silva

Central Midfielder:

Youri Tielemans of Anderlecht has OVR of 76, while Barcelona teenager Alen Halilović is another rising star and has a OVR of 73. 20-year-old Tottenham midfielder Nabil Bentaleb (75) and Lyon’s Corentin Tolisso (77) are the other two options. The best out of the lot is Real Madrid summer signing Mateo Kovačić (78), but Tielemans may be able to develop into a better player.

Our pick: Youri Tielemans

Right-Wing:

Barcelona teenager Munir El Hddadi has OVR of 73. Ajax’s Anwar El Ghazi is having OVR of 76. From Serie A Domenico Berardi has OVR of 80. However, it is El Ghazi, who has impressed with his display among the three. A more left-field pick is Bilal Ould-Chikh – a Football Manager favourite from last year’s edition, might be worth a punt?

Our pick: Anwar El Ghazi

Sofiane Boufal of Lille has OVR of 78 and has been a rumoured target for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer. He has the same rating as Sevilla’s Denis Suárez Fernández. Scottish star Ryan Gauld has lower OVR rate of 73 and was dubbed as the Scottish Messi.

Despite having the lower OVR, Gauld has been very impressive so far along with others.

Our pick: Ryan Gauld

Left-Wing:

Memphis Depay joined Manchester United earlier in the summer after helping PSV Eindhoven win the Dutch league. He has OVR of 81. Balde Diao Keita of Lazio has OVR of 76, while Václav Černý has OVR of 66. These are the three options in this position.

Our pick: Memphis Depay

Striker:

Anthony Martial move to Manchester United from AS Monaco for a reported fee of £36m and his fee could go as high as £57m. He showed what is capable of as he opened his account after coming from the bench to score against Liverpool at Old Trafford. He has OVR of 77.

Antonio Sanabria of Sporting de Gijon has OVR of 73, while Chelsea’s Bertrand Traoré (74) is the other option.
