Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is confident Pep Guardiola, the Bayern Munich manager, will coach in the Premier League.

Guardiola, who won three La Liga titles, two Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup with Barcelona, has been a reported target of several heavyweight Premier League clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City

Fabregas said in an interview to Spanish radio station Onda Cero, via Daily Mail

“I have no doubt that Pep will test himself in the Premier League one day. I have spoken to him in the past and I know that he likes it a lot.”

Bayern, however aren’t willing to let him go, and want to tie him up with a staggering £17m-a-year lucrative contract extension.

The German giants want Guardiola, who is out of contract in the summer, to commit to a two-year-contract extension until 2018 at Bayern.

Manchester City want the former Barcelona manager to replace Manuel Pellegrini at the club next summer. Likewise, Arsenal also consider Guardiola as a potential long-term successor for Arsene Wenger.

However, Chelsea’s interest is more pressing and the Blues could look to sign him next summer should they sack Jose Mourinho.

Guardiola is reportedly on a £14m-a-year wage package, and should he accept the new offer from Bayern, it would make him the highest paid manager in the world.

To be honest, no one really knows what Pep Guardiola’s intentions are, and as per his advisor Jose Maria Orobitg, the Spaniard is “very private” about these things.

Bayern are hopeful of fending off the English interest and there is a growing feeling that Guardiola may end up staying in Germany.
