According to a report published by Sky, Everton are set to offer goalkeeper Jordan Pickford a new deal amidst interest from Chelsea.
The Blues may need to sign a new first-choice goalkeeper as there is a strong chance that Thibaut Courtois will eventually link up with Real Madrid and Pickford is reported to be one of the shot-stoppers that they are considering.
Pickford established himself as one of the top keepers in the Premier League during the past two seasons with Sunderland and Everton respectively.
However, the 24-year-old had his big break during the recent World Cup.
After being surprisingly chosen to play as the first-choice keeper for the Three Lions, Pickford was one of the stars in the England side which overcame the odds and reached the semi-finals.
Pickford joined the Toffees last summer from Sunderland in a deal worth £30 million. The deal made him the most expensive goalkeeper in English football history.
It will be very surprising if Everton do end up losing Pickford this summer.
However, if the Merseyside club fails to win any silverware during the upcoming seasons and he continues to impress as a player, there is certainly a chance that he will eventually leave to advance his career.
