Everton have been linked with a move for Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier.
According to the Athletic, Manchester United are also keen on snapping up the 30-year-old this summer.
The Toffees need to sign a quality right-back but Trippier would only be a short term replacement for Seamus Coleman.
Max Aarons would probably be a better fit for them, but they have cooled their interest in the Norwich City star.
Tariq Lamptey and Diogo Dalot have also been touted as possible targets and would be better long-term options than Trippier.
The England international is undoubtedly a good player who has excelled with Atletico Madrid this season, but he will be 31 soon and is unlikely to improve.
The England international has six assists in La Liga this season and is close to winning the La Liga title with Atletico.
Trippier has also been playing in the Champions League with Diego Simeone’s side and he may be keen on joining a club that can offer European football.
It seems that some of the Everton fans are not too keen on the transfer either. They took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Trippier’s potential arrival.
