Gearing up for another fantastic season of fantasy football action? A seasoned pro, or a hungry novice eager to get stuck in to what is arguably the most addictive online genre of football games around? Why not check out Eurofantasyleague.com; an up-and-coming game that not only focuses on the English Premier League, but on all the top leagues throughout Europe. The best part about it? You are able to mix-and-match from all the aforementioned leagues, create your own monster squad, and do battle with your friends in European Fantasy Football as the 2014/15 season goes through the gears!

The standard Euro Fantasy League game will surely be the most popular, with teams formulated purely from managers’ personal preferences (as long as two league teams are not completely identical), but the ‘draft’ game option is certainly worth a look. Coming together with your mates, managers will take turn to pick players, so only one person can have, say, Arjen Robben, or Luis Suarez! A great, more realistic game mode that is sure to draw in the masses.

We all know the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will be many punters’ first picks, but which Premier League players would make it into your squad? Considering your £100m budget, you will have to choose wisely (especially if your playing the draft mode), with a number of EPL names sure to look very attractive as your team takes shape.

Chelsea

The Premier League top four is bristling with World Cup stars – a number of them actually getting their hands on the famous trophy last month – with the German players in the English top flight sure to find their way into many Euro Fantasy League squads. Chelsea’s Andre Schurrle, at a moderately priced £7m, could be an interesting pick, with the young attacker primed to force his way into Jose Mourinho’s first XI after a number of excellent performances in Brazil, including the assist for Mario Gotze’s winning goal against Argentina in the Maracana.

Manchester United

Louis van Gaal’s impending revolution at Old Trafford will surely see the likes of Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata and Robin van Persie lead the way in terms of picks from United, but new signing Ander Herrera might be worth a punt, with the Spaniard a cheaper option for fantasy league managers. The 24-year-old set up three goals in his first match for the club against LA Galaxy, and with setting up a teammate worth 10 points (a goal itself being worth 20), Herrera may be worthy of one of the three available bench selections in the strict 14 Euro Fantasy League squad.

Arsenal

Arsenal’s £10m summer signing Mathieu Debuchy was statistically one of the top defensive performers in the top four European leagues last season (revealed by WhoScored), and his could be a shrewd option at the back for fantasy managers. The likes of Pique, Chiellini, and Kompany may be obvious picks, but the Frenchman Debuchy could well be a real star for the Gunners next season; and you’d do well not to miss out on the points!

Picking squads certainly won’t be easy, but it sure will be fun! The free-to-join Eurofantasyleague.com is not one to miss, and with clubs making new signings practically every day, the excitment will only build before this season’s European Fantasy Football season kicks-off next month – get your managers jacket on!
