Euro 2012 Preview, History and Key Facts [INFOGRAPHIC]

Euro 2012 will see the continent’s leading nations go head-to-head for glory in Ukraine and Poland.

Holders Spain go into the tournament as the team to beat (top picks with Bet365), and Vicente Del Bosque and his star-studded squad will be motivated to retain their crown. All the recent winners of the crown are back, as Greece (2004), France (2000), Germany (1996) and Denmark (1992) look to add to their trophy collection. Add England, Italy, Portugal, Netherlands and Russia to the mix and it makes for an exciting tournament.

Although Spain are the safe bet, quite a few bookmakers are backing either Germany or Netherlands as favourites given their strong showing in Euro qualifying and signs of fatigue showing through in Spain’s recent performances.
