The 19th round of fixtures in the Premier League features some important matches at both ends of the EPL table.
We’ll update this story with reports, results, highlights and the latest Premier League standings throughout the weekend.
There were three games on Sunday, with the fixture at Anfield between Liverpool and Manchester United the most eagerly anticipated of the bunch.
The match proved to be a cagey affair, with neither side able to create too many clear-cut opportunities on their way to a goalless draw.
United had the best two chances, with Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba denied by saves from Reds’ goalkeeper Alisson.
Tottenham Hotspur recorded a 3-1 victory at Sheffield United in the early kick-off – Serge Aurier, Harry Kane and Tanguy Ndombele got the goals for Jose Mourinho’s team.
Manchester City had no difficulty in seeing off Crystal Palace’s challenge in the last game on Sunday, securing a 4-0 victory to move up to second in the table.
John Stones (2), Ilkay Gundogen and Raheem Sterling were on target for the home team.
Arsenal moved into the top half of the table on Monday evening courtesy of a comfortable 3-0 home victory over Newcastle United – Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang (2) and Bukayo Saka got the goals.
Results favoured the away teams on Saturday, with three of the five matches won by the visiting side.
The lunchtime match at Molineux was a cracker as West Bromwich Albion triumphed 3-2 against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wolves led 2-1 at the break, with Fabio Silva and Willy Boly turning things around after Matheus Pereira’s penalty had given the Baggies an early lead.
However, goals in the second half by Semi Ajayi and another Pereira penalty gave Sam Allardyce his first victory as West Brom manager.
Elsewhere, Neal Maupay’s 17th-minute goal gave Brighton & Hove Albion a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Leeds United.
West Ham United also picked up three points courtesy of a 1-0 home win against Burnley – Michail Antonio bagged the only goal of the game.
Chelsea ended their three-game winless run in the Premier League with 1-0 victory at Fulham – Mason Mount was on target for the Blues.
In the final game of the day, James Maddison and Harvey Barnes got the goals as Leicester City ran out 2-0 winners at home to Southampton.
