We have the latest EA Sports Premier League player rankings for the Round 26 & 27 combined. This time, there is a bit of surprise.
Chelsea weren’t in action last week in the Premier League but they secured their first silverware of the season after winning the Capital One Cup.
In the previous round, Chelsea had a disappointing 1-1 draw at home against Burnley. Eden Hazard still retains the top spot in the league with 670 points, but his fellow team-mate Diego Costa, who hasn’t scored in last five matches, has dropped down to third.
Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, who hasn’t scored in last seven matches, has jumped one place up in second place, with 617 points.
His fellow team-mate Santi Cazorla couldn’t get his name on the score-sheet last weekend but with Arsenal winning 2-0, he retains the #5 spot with 569 points.
Manchester United might not be playing eye catching football, but Louis van Gaal’s side are doing just enough to secure 3 points. Wayne Rooney scored in the weekend against Sunderland and moves in #11th position.
Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho has been grabbing all the attentions after the Brazilian scored back to back against Southampton and Manchester City. The Reds attacking midfielder has jumped into #17 spot for the first time this season.
Also featuring in top 20, along with Raheem Sterling (#7) is stand-in skipper Jordan Henderson. The England international scored a sensational goal against City and secures the #19th spot in the Premier League rankings.
