In the Match Day 20 of the Barclays Premier League, we saw Chelsea losing their lead at the top of the table, after the Blues suffered a shock 5-3 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur at the White Hart Lane.
Chelsea had no answer to the brilliant attacking threats of their opponents with Harry Kane tormenting the back four throughout the game.
Diego Costa gave the Blues an early lead, but Eden Hazard was the star performer for Chelsea. The Belgium international not only kept the game alive for the Blues with his drive and determination but got his name on the scoresheet as well.
He retains the #1 spot in the EA Sports Player Performance Index this week with 517 points, nine points ahead of his fellow team-mate Diego Costa. Cesc Fabregas has retained his #5th position with 458 points.
Chelsea’s Oscar has dropped down of top 20, but defender John Terry, who scored against Spurs, has moved up in 18th place.
Manchester United managed a frustrating 1-1 draw against Stoke City, but skipper Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie retains their positions in top #20. Van Persie has dropped two places down in 9th on 382 points while Rooney is on #16th.
Arsenal have two candidates in the top 20 list – Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez has moved one step up in #3rd place with 489 points while Santi Cazorla is on #12 with 371 points.
