Manchester United striker Robin van Persie scored against Liverpool in United’s 3-0 win at the weekend, his fourth goal in as many matches, and the Dutchman rapidly climbing up the rankings table in EA Sports Player Performance Index.
The Dutch striker’s impressive form has helped Manchester United win six consecutive games, as a result, the Red Devils are dreaming of something big – top ambitions are now replaced by aiming shots at the Premier League title.
Van Persie was 8th last weekend, but has moved two places up in 6th with 343 points and slowly closing in on Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas.
Arsenal have also registered their Premier League victory this weekend, as they defeated Newcastle United 4-1 at the Emirates. Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla bagged two goals each, while Alexis Sanchez impressed yet again. The Chilean maintains his 4th place with 398 points, way behind Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.
Chelsea striker Diego Costa did well to close the gap with Argentine striker Sergio Aguero, who has been sidelined with injury. The Spain international scored his 12th goal of the season, as the Blues comfortably won 2-0 against Hull City.
Eden Hazard has been enjoying the form of his life at the Bridge, the supreme talented Belgian notched his sixth league goal of the campaign this weekend. He maintains his third position in the EA Sports rankings with 420 points, only seven behind teammate Costa.
Meanwhile, David de Gea’s outstanding goal keeping against Liverpool, has taken the Spaniard top of the goal keeper rankings. The Spain international produced some breath taking saves against the Reds and received widespread acclaim aftermath.
