Arsenal have reportedly sealed a deal to take Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata to the Emirates, with Arsene Wenger finally set to land the man he has been hunting for a whole year.
Spanish journalist Victor Gil has been accredited with breaking the story, and states that Morata will finally join the Gunners this summer for £10m, after talks between Arsenal, his father, his agent (Juanma Lopez) and Real were finally completed.
The deal, Gil says, will be officially announced in the next few days, with Morata recently selling his car to further increase speculation.
Morata was heavily linked with a move away from the Spanish capital both last summer and in January, with Arsenal said to be favourites for his signature from the get-go. The saga has been long and arduous, but if these reports are true, we can finally draw a line under it, with Gunners fans able to look forward to seeing the player in red next season.

Crucially, the agreement comes with a buyback option for Los Blancos, which will last for two years. Without this handy clause, the 21-year-old would have cost Arsenal close to £25m, but ever the bargain hunter, Wenger reportedly has his man for less than half price!
Morata has struggled for minutes under Carlo Ancelotti this season, starting only six times all season. The striker has become a super-sub in the Spanish capital, but has now lost patience, with a move to the Premier League now all but certain.
