Álvaro Morata is set to complete his transfer to Juventus from Real Madrid after snubbing a chance to join Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The North London club have long been interested in signing the talented player from last summer. They even made an approach for him in the January transfer window.
The Gunners were interested in signing the Spanish striker as the reports surfaced earlier this summer that Arsene Wenger is keen on landing the 21-year-old. However, Morata has arrived in Turin to complete his move to join the Serie A champions.
A statement on Juventus’ official website read, “Alvaro Morata has arrived in Turin ahead of a proposed switch from Real Madrid. The 21-year-old striker touched down around 23.15 CET local time on Friday night and will undergo his medical on Saturday morning.”
Meanwhile, Morata has admitted that he is excited to start a new adventure with the Italian champions as he is set to complete his medical on Saturday.
“I’m very happy to be beginning this new adventure. I’ll have my medical tomorrow [Saturday] morning,” Morata told the Spanish newspaper AS.
