Barcelona have confirmed they have received bids for the services of their star player Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean international has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United strongly rumoured to be interested in signing the forward.
The Catalan club’s sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has admitted that Sanchez could leave Barcelona in the summer transfer window. He also failed to cool down any reports, which is suggesting their star player could leave Camp Nou.
“There have been proposals for Alexis. I dont know where it will end. If you stay with us, extraordinary,” Zubizarreta told the Spanish newspaper Marca.
Arsenal, Liverpool and United have been on Sanchez’s trail and are keen on acquiring his services this summer. The Chilean attacker was one of Barcelona’s standout performers of the last season.
However, the La Liga giants are planning to raise funds from the sale of one of their star players. Barcelona have already sold Cesc Fabregas to Chelsea and are now willing to let Sanchez leave Camp Nou.
With Zubizarreta’s latest comments, the former Udinese star’s future with the Spanish outfit is likely to end before the end of the summer transfer window. With strong interest from the Premier League trio, a move to England could be on the cards.
Meanwhile, the English clubs could face competition from Juventus as the Italian champions are keen on bringing Sanchez back to Serie A. One needs to wait and see where the Chilean will end up next season.
