Chelsea are plotting a summer swoop to land dazzling Argentine Ezequiel Lavezzi from reigning French Ligue One Champions Paris St Germain, according to Italy’s Sky Sports reporter Gianluca Di Marzio.

It has been widely reported that the 28 year old’s representatives were in London earlier this week to hold talks over a possible move as Jose Mourinho is desperate to bring in two world class strikers in the summer.
The Argentine has shown dazzling brilliance in his second stint with PSG but it seems as if he is looking for a fresh challenge away from France in the summer. Italian newspaper Il Mattino today reported Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis is interested in bringing Lavezzi back to the San Paolo on a season-long loan deal offering to pay the majority of Lavezzi’s €6.5 million per year wages. However, the player will find it tough to resist a move to the affluent consortia of the Premier League.
Lavezzi has scored 9 goals and grabbed 2 assists in 29 appearances for Laurent Blanc’s squad and has been simply phenomenal since the beginning of the season. Having sumptuous technical flexibility, he can play anywhere in attack either as a winger striker or a second forward up front.
Chelsea’s lack of striking options are well documented as Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto’o, all of whom have cut sorry figures at Stamford Bridge throughout the entire duration of the 2013-14 campaign.
Serie A Pundit David Amoyal too echoes Lavezzi’s imminent move away from Parc De Princes in the summer saying the nouveau riche Champions can always buy a replacement.
@tc917 seems to be a lot of noise about him wanting to leave since January, PSG can always buy someone else to replace him
