Pedro’s release clause has dropped from €150m to €30m only, as a result top Premier League clubs can now make a move for him. Arsenal and Liverpool were thought to be interested in signing him, but in the last few weeks Chelsea have shown a serious interest in getting his signature.
Jose Mourinho has personally kept in touch with Pedro over phone, and he has promised him enough game time. According to reports from Catalan newspaper Sport, Chelsea are in pole position at the moment to sign Pedro.
Chelsea have an avalanche of attacking midfielders / forward in their ranks, but it seems that Mourinho wants to sign another forward this season.
