Valencia striker Paco Alcacer is set to end speculations regarding his future as the 21 year old is desperate to sign a contract extension. Alcacer has been in fine form this season scoring 4 goals and grabbing the same number of assists in 11 appearances. Despite Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham all interested in the ‘Golden Boy’, the player himself has suggested he wants to remain at the Mestalla outfit. Alcacer has come up the ranks at Valencia playing in the reserve side for the club and has always been monitored by top European clubs.
The player however insists on staying. Spanish Media Outlet Deportes have quoted the player speaking on the ongoing negotiations, “The negotiations are going well. Both sides want it (to happen), I need to concentrate on playing. I’m not in a hurry as I, my family and Valencia want the same solution.”
Alcacer has a contract with Valencia till 2016 but reportedly has a €20m release clause, something that Valencia are worried out. Thus the Spanish side want to tie down the player to a new deal which will thwart away interests from the English giants. Alcacer too wants to succeed at Valencia and has been training with club legend Juan Antonio Pizzi for inputs and how to improve his overall game.
