According to Madrid based newspaper AS, Monaco’s sensational striker Radamel Falcao has rejected a move to the Premier League. Instead the dazzling Colombian wants to join Champions League winner Real Madrid in the summer.
Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham have all been interested in the former Atletico Madrid striker but the according to story the player wants to join the Galacticos and it has been made known by his reputed agent Jorge Mendes.
Monaco had earlier signed Falcao for a whopping £50m deal and the striker has a contract with the French club till 2018. It has been evident over the past few days that Real are in the market for a young striker and despite Falcao being 28, a deal can be negotiated.
Chelsea particularly have been interested in the striker but the Blues have now decided to bring the £32m rated Diego Costa while Liverpool have also made inquiries should Luis Suarez leave in the summer.
Tottenham too were in the race for Falcao but it now seems that Spurs now have pulled out after making Swansea’s Wilfried Bony their major target in the coming transfer window.
