It seems like ‘Operation Luis Suarez’ is the new agenda for Catalan based newspapers. Sport couple of days back started this movement when they claimed Barcelona board members had discussed about the possibility of signing Luis Suarez, who they believe the striker has a release clause around €85m, and are ready to include winger Alexis Sanchez to sweeten the deal.
It was picked up by Mundo Deportivo yesterday adding that negotiations are going on at an advanced level. Today, they have taken it to a new height altogether. They devoted five pages on Suarez and found every possible angle to create an impression that Barcelona could be his possible new destination.

One of the best ways to lure an opposition player is to praise him highly. And sometimes it can border on the level of exaggeration. While Suarez did score two superb goals against England, but probably none of them are ‘out of this world’ or like that. Of course, Mundo Deportivo thinks otherwise.
The report says, Suarez and his family are excited to go to Barcelona (what? For a vacation?) and that might upset, Florentino Perez, as Real Madrid are thought to be interested in him as well. Clearly, it shows, where the agenda lies.

It basically says Suarez has the attributes of 5G – Gara, Genio, gol, ganador and generoso – which fits the criteria to be a Barcelona striker. It means, Suarez possesses the qualities of determination, genius, goals, winning mentality and generosity. Furthermore, he has spent 7 years playing the ‘Barca style’ at Ajax and Liverpool and has been fixing his temperamental issues, which has caused him problems in the past.
They are so desperate to find a link, that they even connected the birth of his daughter as an strong cause of attachment for the Blaugrana.
This is as possibly the new definition of desperation & hype.
