La Liga champions Barcelona are reportedly close to completing a deal for Celta Vigo striker Nolito.

Mundo Deportivo reported earlier this week that Arsenal were looking to trigger Nolito’s £14m buyout clause.

The 29-year-old striker impressed last season with 13 goals, and has been in fine form in 2015-16 as well, where he managed eight goals to his name so far.

The Spain striker is equally efficient in creating chances for others. Last season he registered 14 assists, and this campaign he has provided five assists so far.

The same publication reports today that Barcelona are close to completing a deal for Nolito. Luis Enrique wants him, and the club will try to do everything to make the  transfer happen.

Barcelona could be looking to bring him on loan now, and then sign him permanently in the summer.

Meanwhile, Arsenal reportedly have turned their attention towards signing Edinson Cavani, after failing to agree to a deal for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
