Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted he has a tough task ahead of him in selecting the striker for his side’s crucial clash against Chelsea.

The Frenchman and his men just make a trip across London as the Gunners visit Stamford Bridge for the Premier League clash against the Blues on Saturday. The Frenchman has already confirmed star duo of Aaron Ramsey and Héctor Bellerín are fit to face the English champions.

Olivier Giroud is the main striker at the Emirates, while Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck are the other two players who can play up front. The former Manchester United man went under the knife and is set to miss most part of this calendar year.

Walcott impressed for both club and country by scoring goals. Wenger will make a late call as to who will lead Arsenal’s attacking division against Chelsea.

“At the moment I must say that is a decision I still have to make tomorrow morning. I try to use the best solution that gives us the most efficiency offensively,” Wenger said.

“Every game is different and that is why I don’t deny at all the quality of Walcott. I am very happy that he scored so many goals in so many starts. He shows as well that when he comes on, he can score as well, which he did in Zagreb.”

Chelsea have suffered defeat in three of the first five games in the league. The Blues lost to Manchester City, Crystal Palace and Everton, while settled for a draw against Swansea City in the opening fixture.

Their poor form has been a matter of worry for Jose Mourinho and he will be facing his old enemy Wenger on Saturday. The former Real Madrid manager had never lost a match against Wenger’s side, until the two teams met in the Community Shield earlier in August.

The Gunners manager believes his side’s 1-0 victory over Chelsea has given Arsenal a mental advantage over the Blues for the weekend league tie.

“For me, what is important is that Arsenal win games,” he said. “It can sometimes be a mental block for the players or the team when they do not win against certain teams. On that front it was good [to win the Community Shield],” Arsenal boss stressed.

“What you expect from these kinds of games is [that they are] always high intensity, full commitment and of course you want to prepare for that and play with a full focus.

“For us it’s a big game. Let’s not forget it’s the start of the season and only five games have been played. We know our position at the end of the season will depend on how well we do in the big games. I do not think too much about where Chelsea stand in the league at the moment. I focus more on us performing well, with full power.”
