Arsene Wenger has confirmed Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo will go out on-loan, preferably to a top flight club in England.
The 21-year-old has started in only two Premier League games this season, despite his French compatriot Olivier Giroud missing most part of the season due to foot injury.
The French striker has been linked with a move away from England, while he has also been attracting interest from the Premier League outfits.
Wenger wants Sanogo to join English club on-loan until the end of the season. He also admitted that Joel Campbell will stay at the Emirates.
“[Sanogo] will go out on loan. My option is preferably in England. We are very short today of an option in England and maybe he should go to an English Premier League club. I want Joel Campbell for the future to stay here,” Wenger told Arsenal’s official website.
Meanwhile, Hull City manager Steve Bruce has expressed his interest in signing Arsenal striker in the mid-season transfer window.
“It’s been made clear that the boy might be available on loan and it’s something we’ll have a look at” Bruce explained.
“We have got four or five things going, like most Premier League clubs. We’ll have to wait and see but, as usual, it will probably happen in the last couple of days of the window. Everyone’s jockeying for position.”
“If we can bring a couple in to bolster the squad, that would be great,” Hull manager concluded.
With Wenger hoping that Sanogo to stay in the Premier League and Hull confirming their interest, a move to the Tigers could be on the cards.
