According to reports from Italian media outlet Calciomercato, Juventus could sell Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal if Arsenal bid €40m in the summer for the 28 year old. It is believed that the Gunners held talks Vidal’s agent, Fernando Felicevich, after they won the FA Cup on Saturday evening beating Aston Villa at Wembley.
Gazzetta Dello Sport also claim that Felicevich will hold with Arsenal and Manchester United over a possible summer move for his client. Felicevich is incidentally also the agent of Alexis Sanchez and was present at Wembley.
Arsenal have been linked with Vidal for quite some time now and the midfield maestro could be the final missing piece of the jigsaw that Arsene Wenger needs to challenge Manchester City and Chelsea for the Premier League title challenge in the coming season.
He would be an incredible signing for the Gunners as the Chilean with his combative passing abilities and the ability to anchor the midfield . Wenger however played down talks with rumours linking Vidal to the Gunners. Asked whether he would be making a move for Juventus star, Wenger said as quoted by London Evening Standard, “We have good midfielders and at the moment we are not looking at Arturo Vidal.”
Vidal has just won the double with Juventus and the Bianconeri preparing to face Barcelona in the Champions League final this weekend. So will it be Vidal’s last game for the old Lady? Should Vidal leave the Turin side, Juventus will turn to Chelsea midfielder Oscar as his replacement.
