Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger claimed recently that he probably won’t be delving into the January transfer market to buy any marquee name and that he keeps faith on his existing bunch. However, as per the latest report, the Gunners will try to bring in new faces in the winter and would try for Real Madrid duo Karim Benzema and Raphael Varane.
As per Fifa agent Francois Gallardo, Arsenal want to bring in a striker to ease off the burden from the shoulders of Olivier Giroud.
“Arsenal want to reinforce in the winter and will go for Benzema and Varane,” he told Punto Pelota.”Karim is the darling of Wenger, who is obsessed with him and Raphael, but the deal will almost be unworkable.
“Karim, obviously, will not leave in January. It is unfeasible.”
Wenger insisted that the market gets inflated in the January transfer window but he would only buy players, if he feels right for the club. The Frenchman is keeping faith on Giroud, Bendtner et al, while believes that Theo Walcott and Lukas Podolski can make great impact too, when they return from their injuries.
Most important thing here is Gallardo can hardly be taken seriously.
He seems to work on fantasies and speaks rubbish most of the time. He was the one who claimed (check in details about this article from Sport Witness) Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola is going to join Manchester City; Chelsea skipper John Terry is certain to join Valencia and that he had received a written permission from Didier Drogba to speak to Barcelona with a view of securing a contract for the former Chelsea man.
