Arsenal are reportedly willing to offer in the region of €45m to sign Inter Milan’s highly rated striker Mauro Icardi.
The Argentine striker, who is also a reported target of Chelsea, has been continuously linked with away to the Premier League. Inter Milan are keen to keep their skipper at the club, but it seems, Arsenal are ready to test the Nerazzurri’s resolve with a massive bid in January.
With Danny Welbeck still recovering from injury and Theo Walcott also sidelined, Arsenal are short of options upfront.
According to Corriere dello Sport, via Football Italia, an offer around €45m will be enough to persuade Inter into entering a deal with the Gunners.
Inter will be reluctant to sell him now. Roberto Mancini’s side have a great chance to win the Scudetto this season, and losing Icardi will serve as a massive blow to their title aspirations.
On the other hand, the club will also consider the financial aspects and may be tempted to do a business, provided the offer is right.
Meanwhile, Brazilian striker Pato could represent a cheap alternative in case Arsenal fail to land Icardi. The former AC Milan striker is eyeing a return to European football again, and as per reports, several Premier League clubs, including the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham, and Arsenal are offered a chance to sign him in January.
Arsenal are ready to step up their chase in the Serbian wonderkid Andrija Zivkovic. The 19-year-old winger has made over 55 appearances for Partizan Belgrade and has represented the Serbian national team well.
According to reports from Tuttomercato, La Liga clubs like Atletico Madrid and Sevilla have also shown an interest for the winger.
