Chelsea youth midfielder Domingos Quina has decided to leave the club and will join Premier League rivals Arsenal within the next 48 hours.
According to recent reports, the Portuguese attacking midfielder was frustrated with his development at Stamford Bridge and was looking to join another Premier League club.
The likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal were all interested in the young midfielder.
The U17 star is yet to sign a professional contract with the blues and therefore, the London club have no choice but to let him go if he forces a move away.
Arsenal have apparently won the race to sign the highly talented Portuguese midfielder. Quina is regarded as one of the brightest talents in Portugal right now and him joining Arsenal will be a bitter blow for Chelsea.
The North London outfit are hoping to tie up the deal within the next couple of days.
Arsenal have a great track record of promoting youth players and Quina believes that he has a better chance of fulfilling his potential under the tutelage of Arsene Wenger.
Quina’s decision to join Arsenal might come as a shock to the fans because players usually avoid a transfer to rival clubs out of respect for their former team.
But clearly Quina is only concerned with his development and sees Arsenal as the best option.
