Arsenal right back is set to walk from the Emirates in the summer according to reports from France. The 31 year old is out of contract in the summer and with no suggestions of a new deal on the horizon, the Frenchman will in all certainty play his last game for the Gunners against Hull City in the FA Cup final at Wembley later this month.
We have been keeping tabs on the story for quite some time now and we reported last week that Chelsea and Manchester City are interested in the player. Sagna was offered a €50k per week at Arsenal with his wages not being changed since 2008.
The right back has been one of the most established player in Arsene Wenger’s reign but the manager in a latest press conference claimed that the situation is beyond his control.
“I’ll have to accept it because he is the only one who can decide. We therefore accept and react accordingly.”
Turkish club Fenerbache are interested in Sagna who has featured in 41 appearances for the Gunners this campaign. The player himself hinted that he sees his future in England but has kept a door open to a switch outside the country if a deal is struck in the summer.
