Arsenal’s Lukas Podolski has been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium in recent weeks.
Juventus, Napoli and VfL Wolfsburg are amongst the big names who have strongly been linked with the 2014 World Cup winner recently.
However, Podolski’s agent has insisted that his client has had no offers from Serie A duo Juventus or Napoli,
Quoted by Tutto Mercato Web, the German’s agent said:
“I read in the newspapers that Juventus and Napoli were interested in Lukas.
“But there has been no contact from either of those clubs.
“I don’t know if he will go to Italy in this window. I can’t say anything for sure. What I can say however, is that Lukas has a contract with Arsenal.”
Lukas Podolski joined Arsenal in the summer of 2012 from Germany after his beloved side 1. FC Köln were relegated from the Bundesliga that season.
The Polish-born German international has scored 19 goals in 53 Premier League appearances for the Gunners but has rarely been a regular in the side nor has he played the full 90 minutes on many occasions under Arsène Wenger.
Podolski faces competition from both Santi Cazorla and Mesut Özil who have both started on the left wing for Arsenal this season. The 29-year old’s below par performances when he was given the central striker role last season doesn’t even give manager Wenger an option to play the 116-time German international up front again.
